About the Virginian Elite Soccer Tournament

May 25-27, 2024

This must-attend Memorial Day Weekend event, sponsored by the Springfield South County Youth Club, provides the best platform for competitive youth soccer teams to end the Spring season. The Virginian Elite Soccer Tournament was founded in 1974 to give teams an opportunity to compete for the championship title, and as one of the longest-standing events on the East Coast, it hosts 500-600 teams every Memorial Day Weekend.

Acceptance notifications will be emailed shortly after the deadline. Early acceptance may be granted for teams traveling from outside the local Virginia/Maryland area, with a decision made within two (2) weeks after receiving the application and payment.

The Virginian

The Virginian is sanctioned by VYSA and will accept applications from teams affiliated with US Club Soccer, USYSA, AYSO, and the Canadian Soccer Association. All games will be played on pristine artificial turf or Bermuda grass, and games will be officiated by top-quality FIFA referees.

This is a stay-and-play event for travel teams. All travel teams booking hotel rooms must use the selected hotels provided by the Virginian Housing Service. Any travel team not complying with the service will NOT be permitted to participate in the tournament, and a refund will not be issued.
